spring is in the air!

There's no doubt that Spring is my favorite season. Spring in Maryland is perfect because once summer comes the humidity is miserable.

Just a few things I'm looking forward to this Spring:

Cherry Blossoms in DC!

Starting the beach trips...

...and day trips to gorgeous Annapolis

and St. Michaels on the Eastern Shore...

and Georgetown...

Weekends spent here jamming out to some Bluegrass

Steeplechase Races...basically where all the area private school kids cram as many kids into their Suburbans and big SUVs and go to the races to partake in underage drinking all day long...dressed in their preppy attire...how many actually see the race? well, that would be a VERY small number...

and then the GRANDDADDY of them all. My favorite event of all time...The Kentucky Derby!

It's hard not to get teary eyed when "My Old Kentucky Home" plays...

The Preakness and The Belmont are exciting too and I always hold out hope during the Preakness that we might be one step closer to a Triple Crown Winner.

Excited that they finally got the disguistingness out of the Infield at Preakness though...it was about time.

You bet there will be lots of Kentucky Derby posts coming up!
