I love this facewash. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. I have very sensitive skin and this wash is so gentle that my sensitive skin never looks irritated or red after, my skin isn't dried out, and I don't have have any breakouts (I probably just jinxed myself). The one thing I don't love about it is the pump bottle that it comes in. If you want to travel with it, you definitely have to put it in another bottle or it will leak everywhere. You can buy the big bottle of Ulta which is what I'm going to start doing since the bottle seems to be kind of small and I seem to go through it sort of fast. It can be purchased at Target or Walmart. Read lots of other good reviews about it as well. So happy I stumbled across this stuff.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! Gracie Beth over at The Engineer in Heels and Pearls got me hooked on it and I won't be going back to anything else. I have tried various mascaras, ranging from cheap drugstore mascaras to expensive ones from Sephora and this is the one I love the best. I use Mac Prep + Prime for my lashes and then top it with this mascara and I've never seen them so long before! I've heard lots of other ladies give rave reviews to this mascara as well.

Before using this foundation, I was using Laura Mercier Foundation, at first the Moisturizing one then switched to the Oil-Free once when the Moisturizing Foundation was out of stock. I kind of had a love/hate relationship with Laura Mercier foundation. I loved it for it's coverage, but I didn't love how it turned sort of orange on my skin during the day, how it was sticky and had to be set with powder all the time, or it's price tag. The one powder I loved to set it with that gave my skin a healthy glow was also very expensive and I just didn't want to continue spending that on foundation and powder anymore. Then I went re-discovered Revlon Colorstay foundation.
I had used this foundation months before and wasn't really sold on it when I tried it, but had only used it once, but one day I figured I would give it another shot and I really liked it. It kind of has an odor at first, but I get over that, and it seems to give good coverage and sets into skin nicely after a few minutes. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin and Ivory in this foundation matched PERFECTLY with my skin color...and that is hard to do. Being a fair-skinned blonde makes it hard to find foundation. Foundations can either be too light, too dark, or too orangey. For now, I'll be sticking with Revlon or until I find another I like better-I'm always on the prowl for great foundation.

Being a fair-skinned gal, blush is another thing that is difficult to find. It's hard finding blushes that aren't too red for my skin. For a while I had been buying Nars Blush in Orgasm. After going through my make up basket once my Nars blush ran out, I came across a blush I used to use: Covergirl Classic Color in Rose Silk. After using it I wondered why I even spent the money for expensive Nars blush in the first place. It looks more natural on my skin, it gives my skin a healthy glow, and it's cheaper!
Are there any products that you LOVE and have to have or use?

Thanks for the tips! I am going to try that mascara!
ReplyDeleteI use Covergirl blush too! xx
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a facebook request from you :( Try it again, pretty please!!
ReplyDeleteThese are good suggestions. I am all about saving money where possible! I use LM foundation right now, but maybe I will try the Colorstay one that you mention. As for mascara, I like the Cover Girl Last Blast that's bright orange.
