we will never forget

In any moment, our lives can change. A single phone call, a letter sent, a long night spent in a waiting room...can turn our entire world upside down in disarray. Tomorrow is never promised. In a split second, all that we know, all that we love, and all that comforts us can slip away.

I spent the day being completely grateful and blessed for all that I have...to live in this great country we call the United States of America. I've been reflecting a lot on this lately. Sometimes during the day it's easy to get wrapped up thinking about all the things that didn't go our way, but today I'm just grateful that I was able to spend another day with those that I love.

Be grateful for all that you have, find beauty in simple, everyday things, and joy in nature and not just material things, let "I love you" fall off of your lips more often, apologize when you feel you should, forgive when you think you need to...life is far too short and sometimes there are no second chances.

For all those who had friends and family who lost their lives in this unspeakable tragedy, our hearts go out to you to comfort during today and all days in which you carry your grief and sorrow. For those who protect and serve our country, and their family and friends, thank you for your sacrifices and your selflessness. You are what makes this country so great.
