Dear John

It's been a while since I've been this excited about a movie. Okay, that might be sort of a lie. I couldn't wait to see The Blind Side...but I really can't wait to see this movie either. I love going to the movies, but it's only once in a while that a movie really catches my attention and I HAVE to see it. This is one of those. My friend was lucky enough to go down to Charleston, South Carolina to the premiere. The girl is a Nicholas Sparks groupie and drove all through North Carolina a few months ago to visit all the towns that are the locations of his books.

I started reading Nicholas Sparks novels years ago and loved them. I could never put them down and I would end up reading them in a day or two. I also fell in love with the movie Message in a Bottle based off of one of Nicholas's novels and it's one of my favorite movies ever. I never read the book Dear John...and I want to wait and read it after I see the movie. I want the movie to surprise me. If you know the end - DON'T tell me :) Even though with Nicholas's novels, I could imagine...

I'll admit that I have a REALLY huge crush on Channum. I had heard of him before, but hadn't paid much attention and I don't think I've seen another movie with him in it...but maybe I have and just don't know it (but I think I'd recognize a face like that!). When I first saw the movie trailer I was blown away. I mean WOW! What a BEAUTIFUL man. I think he seems to fit the part amazingly. The story really warms my heart. I watch the trailer over and over and think Channum steals even more of my heart when those beautiful eyes start crying. Nothing is more attractive to me than a man who is tough, but has a sensitive side.


You little heart stealer, give it back!
