"I wish we could put up some of the Christmas spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month" ~ Harlan Miller

I hope you all enjoyed the Holidays with your friends and family and that Santa put you on the Nice list instead of the Naughty! I'll admit that I watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation one too many times, but I'm not complaining. Oh, Chevy Chase. My break has been great...I watched a lot of football, ate a lot of food that was delicious, but that my hips and badonkadonk probably don't appreciate, and had too much fun at Christmas parties. Christmas seems to be a little lonely every year though because my grandparents are no longer around to share the day with us...but I know they look down from above.

Below are my masterpiece Gingerbread men I baked and decorated. Cute little guys if I may say so...(we had some naughty cookies in the batch so I didn't post the pictures of the other cookies...even though I know you ladies probably would enjoy them, ha ha ha!):

Wine was an important component of the cookie baking process!

Over the Holidays one of my best friends from high school also got ENGAGED! I'm also a bridesmaid...which means I fully regret eating all those holiday goodies, but kicked my own butt at the gym last night and started my diet today for the 27385 time. I WILL DO IT THIS TIME. I will, I will, I will...if I have to cut out clothes from magazines and paste them to my fridge...I will do it! I also went through my friends closet yesterday and have been inspired by her dresses...they are so adorable. I will fit in them and I will LOVE how I look...it's about darn time...2010...watch out! Low self-esteem...you can hit the road!

It's probably time to start taking down my Christmas decorations...but I just want to know, am I the only one who is excited for Valentines Day? Skip New Years...I mean...I like it...but another year goes by is kind of depressing...time goes so fast...and I never really seem to do anything spectacular for New Years...but Valentines Day, I love that. I don't even have a boyfriend, but I instantly get excited when I see Valentines Day things in Target or Homegoods. Something about red, pink and hearts...I guess. Such a girl. I wanted to do some cute gift things for my friends for Valentines Day...so shoot me any cute ideas you have. If I don't have a boyfriend, might as well celebrate the other loves of my life...my girlfriends!

xoxo
