I need your help with something! Two of my roommates from college got married this summer and for a Christmas gift, I wanted to get them something like this:

I saw this and fell in love, but not with the price tag. $119 dollars...and I've looked online and found them for the same price or 10 dollars more. I love it, but I wanted to get one for each of my roommates and their husbands...and I just didn't feel like spending that on plates.
I also came across this one online which I liked:

...but since I'm last minute, the 2nd plate I found online will take 2-3 weeks to be delivered :(
I was wondering if any of you know of any place to get cute, personalized plates (hopefully for cheaper) or if you have any other ideas - like places I could get cute ornaments for their first Christmas or picture frames? I really want something cute and personalized, but I'm open to anything gift wise. Candles, blankets...anything different and original. All your help would be greatly appreciated!
Hope you all aren't too busy stressing about the Holidays, but are enjoying this time of year :)

A friend of mine makes plates like that :) Here is her website: http://plattersandsplatters.webs.com/ I gave a plate to some friends who got married last winter and they loved it! Such a unique gift :)
ReplyDeleteunfort, I dunno of a place, but if you want an extra thumbs up on the gift idea- consider this mine :)
ReplyDeleteThose are both very cute. Go to laplates.com and you can get a monogrammed platter for $34 (i think, it may be $38) or monogrammed plates. They are so cute and I would love that for a wedding gift!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! I was just going to tell you that Wrapsody, http://wrapsodyonline.com/store/, has some great ideas.
ReplyDeleteAre you artsy? You could absolutely paint one of those at one of those pottery painting places...
I'm so happy you're back. Emailing you back shortly, I've been slammed busy lately... which is a good thing. :)
ReplyDeletePersonalized stuff... just go to the mall. I'm SURE there are kiosks everywhere with personalized things to purchase. Not sure about plates... but you could always purchase the plate somewhere, and then take it to one of the kiosks to get personalized. That's just my idea.
xoxo
Things remembered has first christmas together ornaments they engrave.
ReplyDeleteHey there fellow Maryland-er! I'm in Anne Arundel Co and depending where you're at in MD, there are a ton of paint your own pottery places around. They usually take about 3-4 days to glaze and fire and then it's yours to keep! I know of ones in Crofton, Bel Air and Dunkirk... but I'm sure there are more! Good luck!
ReplyDeletehope you had a great christmas!! always think about you when our ravens are playing! lets hope we make it to playoffssss! :)
