lots of random things...

Hope y'all are having a great start to the week! Saturday I went to my first baby shower. I was lovin' it! Wasn't the centerpiece adorable? And the cupcakes - all handmade by the mother in law of the expecting mama! She really goes ALL out when it comes to throwing parties and making cakes and cupcakes...she really could have her own professional business because they are so creative and delicious:





The rest of the weekend was spent with quality time with the family and then Monday night was spent at the Ravens game. The weather was a little hot, but there was a NICE breeze which is sometimes highly unlikely in humid Maryland summers. This week the plans are to order textbooks for grad school (anyone know of any place to get cheap/discounted textbooks? I hear about amazon all the time - does anyone get theirs from here or have any trouble getting it from the sellers?), I also have to hardcore CLEAN. My den needs to be organized from top to bottom as papers and items are ALL over the place. Part of the problem is that I have SO much trouble trying to throw stuff away...I save everything. I have pretty much every piece of paper from college tucked away in the cabinets. Well, not neatly tucked away...more like shoved into cabinets and shelves...it's such an eye sore. I also need to start getting rid of things...big time. I want to start selling some of my items on here or on ebay...as soon as I figure out how to figure all the shipping and handling charges, etc. I plan on selling some perfumes (ones that haven't been used or used maybe once...I'm an impulsive buyer...then I get home and decide I like something better), tote bags, ribbon headbands, etc...anything I can find that I have stored away in closets that I never use.

I also wanted to ask you ladies if you have any healthy recipes you love that are pretty easy to make and that you're a fan of? I know a lot of you do Weight Watchers or are working out/watching what you are eating and I've made a vow to myself to hit the gym 6 days a week (ok, we'll see if THAT happens) and to watch every single thing that I eat and record it in a notebook.   1. those cupcakes are to die for
    easy lo cal burrito (find the lowest calorie tortilla's you can)
    shredded zuchini
    jar of salsa
    can of black beans drained and rinsed
    mix all 3 together
    small amount of shredded jalapeno jack cheese
    cook in skillet/flipping after 5 minutes
    dollop of fat free sour cream
    vegetarian food is always low in calories if you don't add a ton of cheese or sauce. Beans are so good for you too
